Homeless

THEY WILL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS BY OUR LOVE.
We are working with Shoebox Ministries to restore dignity to the homeless.
For the month of February we are still collecting personal hygiene items.
The collection box is located at the front of the sanctuary.
See the pamphlet by the box for more ideas about what you can donate.
If you have items and you are driving past LMF just leave them on the
front porch and Pastor Dean will bring them inside and place them in the box.
When you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me.
Matthew 25:40

Hard times are an opportunity for the Body of Christ to reach out and help those
in need. Hurting people need our prayers and our help. As the year 2010 unfolds
let us continue to bring the love of Jesus to those in need.
No gift is to small. A pair of socks to a man who has none is a great blessing.
A meal to a mother and child who have not eaten all day is an answer to a cry
to God for help.  A pair of shoes, a new shirt and pants may open an
opportunity to apply for a job to get back on their feet.

Simplicity that releases to serve... strong teaching plus heart-felt worship... love for God and neighbor!

"To bring people to Jesus and membership in his family, to guide them to maturity and ministry in his kingdom, to empower people to transform the world."
 Mission Statement

Patiently and boldly proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ; faithfully sharing the sojourn of faith with one another; growing in mission in the adventure of life in Christ."

To accomplish this mission we embrace the following core values:

1. The wonder and relevance of the Bible.

2. Worshiping our living awe-inspiring God.

3. The conviction that God highly values those who don't yet know Him.

4. Sharing our lives and serving together with Cave Creek Church.

5. Simplicity and authenticity in our service - with God and people.

6. Excellence in public ministry.

7. Multiplication of our church faith, ministries and church.

 Our History

In 2001 Shiloh Community Church (SCC) [affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America] had a vision to start a new church in the North Phoenix/Cave Creek/Care Free area.  At the same time, after spending four years with his family in Russia as a missionary, Dean Cernek was feeling the call to pastor a church again in Arizona.  Dean's, SCC's and area families' prayers were answered when God led the Cerneks and SCC together to plant Cave Creek Church.  From January to July 2001, the Cernek's attended SCC raising up a "launch team" and  in August 2001, with the blessing of SCC, regular services were begun with 12 families.  Of course there were many details, arrangements and finances to work out, but God overcame every faith challenge to start CCC and at our 2 year anniversary (August 2003) CCC was averaging over 70 people attending services each Sunday and over 22 committed families.  God has not stopped there as we have continued to grow and are detemined to shine like a lighthouse in the desert reflecting Christ's love and hope for all to see for years to come!  As CCC grows so will our staff, programs, ministries, building and outreach to the community, but more importantly so will God's Kingdom!

Through members and other kingdom friends CCC was able to purchase and renovate the perfect residential home into literally a "House of God".  The change has been miraculous not only in appearance but in the way God has worked through people's lives to make this change come about.  In October 2003, CCC received final inspection approval for her new Children's Ministry Center, asphalt parking lot and Worship Center complete with handicap accessible bathrooms. We called this "Phase 1" and looked forward to what God had in store for us in the days to come!

02/16/09 Phase II
Once again with the help of dedicated church members and some talented brothers in Christ from Michigan, Cave Creek Church has just completed an interior makeover that created more seating and a new pulpit/stage area for the worship team. A cupola was added to the peak of the roof and a cross was placed on top.

As Cave Creek Church takes on a new look and a new year it was decided to change the name of the sanctuary since it  is not really in Cave Creek proper. After some namestorming a decision was made. CCC has been renamed - Lone Mountain Fellowship.

We are praying for God's guidance as He leads Lone Mountain Fellowship forward, one day at a time. We are praying that God will increase the body of believers in His church. With that growth our need for future development on the site will bring us to Phase III. Don't blink!

Please join us as we live to serve our King, our families, our community and grow in our committment to the one who gave Himself for us, that we might have life everlasting.

Jesus is Lord of all!

MISSIONARY UPDATE:

01/24/10  God has been answering many prayers for this ministry. We would like to include the details but anonymity insures that our brother's identity will not be revealed as there are those that would seek to do bodily harm to those who identify themselves with Jesus. Pray for those people too. God's desire is for all to return to Him through His Son. Remember we are all His creation. We have all sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 5:12-20

12/01/09  Please pray for our brother. He and his family are missionaries who live and serve in a restricted access country. That alone is a challenge since a majority of the population of that country is Muslim and many are openly hostile to Christians. That hatred includes harassment, beatings and murder just for identifying yourself as a Christian.

Here are some other prayer needs for our brothers and sisters in that land:
Pray for opportunities for Christians in this land to share the truth of who Jesus is with those around them.
Pray that local officials will stop harassing Christians.
Pray that all those who are lost will have the opportunity to hear the truth about the only one who can save, the only one who could say; "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:5-7
