THEY WILL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS BY OUR LOVE. Shoebox Ministries
We are working with Shoebox Ministries to restore dignity to the homeless. For the month of April we are still collecting personal hygiene items. The collection box is located at the front of the sanctuary. See the pamphlet by the box for more ideas about what you can donate. If you have items and you are driving past LMF just leave them on the front porch and Pastor Dean will bring them inside and place them in the box. When you have done it unto the least of these, you have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40
Hard times are an opportunity for the Body of Christ to reach out and help those in need. Hurting people need our prayers and our help. As the year 2010 unfolds let us continue to bring the love of Jesus to those in need. No gift is to small. A pair of socks to a man who has none is a great blessing. A meal to a mother and child who have not eaten all day is an answer to a cry to God for help. A pair of shoes, a new shirt and pants may open an opportunity to apply for a job to get back on their feet.

 | Worship
At LMF we believe worship is the way we express our love and gratefulness to God. It goes beyond songs and bands and singing to the very core of who we are as believers. On Sunday mornings the worship team doesn't put on a performance. We raise our hearts together as an entire congregation to sing and praise the name of our Lord! Those of us who happen to be in front are just using the gifts God has given us to lead the whole assembly in focusing our attention on the sole reason we've gathered together - Jesus is the reason!! |

Young people at LMF are involved in every aspect of the church from their own specialized Bible studies & events to participating on the worship team and drama. The LMF youth group already exhibits a strong desire to worship, at Wednesday nights "Lifeline" (6:45pm), Worship is typcially student led. Youth "Heartbeat" meets on Sunday mornings at 10:00am (after corporate worship) Check us out! If you would like more information contact the church office at 480-595-2124

Does the motorcycle make the man? A real man "Lives pure. Speaks true. Rights wrong. Follows the King." Such men come in all sizes and shapes and ride all sorts of vehicles! We take seriously God's call to men to be forces for good, humble leaders in living life up! |

Women's Group
BELIEF STATEMENT: We believe in God's created order for Biblical manhood and womanhood. Men and women are created equal in being but with diversity of function. We will have a complementarian women's ministry that honors the male leadership within our homes and within the body of Christ. We choose to do this through being helpers and life givers fulfilling our purpose to the glory of God.
MISSION STATEMENT: The women of LMF are committed to cultivating a women's ministry that complements and supports the work of the pastor and elders, that nurtures and equips our women for growth and service and promotes a comprehensive Biblical view of manhood and womanhood to be passed on as a legacy to the next generation.
Titus 2:1, 3-4 "You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine........Likewise, teach the older woman to be reverent in the way they live, not be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can train the younger woman to love their husbands and children, to be self controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the Word of God." |

Saturday August 7th 6:00pm - 8:00pm A Farewell party for the friends and church family of Pastor Dean & family.

Please join us on an LMF faith journey.
We want to know God better because the people who know God stand strong for truth and live purposeful lives for God. this is a journey that includes a home group study but is not limited to that. For a wee investment you can purchase the classic "Knowing God" by J.I. Packer and read along each week.
This Thursday - Thursday 07/29/10 "Should we provoke the Lord to jealousy?" The apostle Paul asks. James adds, "He yearns jealousy over the spirit which he has made to dwell in us." God's jealousy is not an infantile resentment springing from unmortified covetousness, which expresses itself in envy, malice and meanness of action." Rather it is similar to what married persons feel at the intrusion of a lover or an adulterer into their home. Surely someone who felt no jealousy at such a time would be lacking in moral perception. God expects from those whom He has loved and redeemed utter and absolute loyalty. He will vindicate his claim if they betray His love. 1. Prepare your heart in prayer to have the spiritual understanding to comprehend what is being shared in the pages of this book. Pray that God would open the eyes of our hearts. 2. Read Chapter 17. 3. As you read humble yourself before your King and ask him to open the eyes of your heart. 4. Bring your Bible and join the discussion on Thursday night, 7:00pm @ LMF.
MISSIONARY UPDATE:
05/16/10 This brother and others are working on translating the Bible into their native language. They are also working on getting Christian literature translated as well. Work is being done to get Bibles in the hands of college students too. Pray for protection, blessing and opportunities for this work.
06/20/10 Our brother is having increased opportunities to minister to those hungry to hear the truth about Jesus. They have been misled for so long they yearn for the truth. To hear the truth about Jesus from someone in their own culture and language opens the hearts of people to receive the gift of release from the bondage of sin and false theology. When someone in their culture is born again they really understand the idea of a new life and redemption and they embrace it. Pray with a fervent heart for all those who have not had the opportunity to hear the gospel of grace and truth. May His truth be proclaimed to the whole earth! Amen.
God's Word needs to be heard by everyone everywhere. The world is hostile to the truth because it gets in the way of our own foolish and futile concepts of this life and what happens after we leave this earth. One day when the whole earth has heard of the one who came to share the real truth, the real life and the only way then and only then will everyone finally understand. Until then we have to finish the course.
Let's join the saints around the globe and tarry with them in prayer and whatever support we are able to give with a cheerful heart. Our brothers and sisters are literally laying their lives on the line to take the truth to their own people and to the ends of the earth.
Here are some other prayer needs for our brothers and sisters in that land: Pray for opportunities for Christians in this land to share the truth of who Jesus is with those around them. Pray that local officials will stop harassing Christians. Pray that all those who are lost will have the opportunity to hear the truth about the only one who can save, the only one who could say; "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Chris Becker Memorial Dining Room We do not have a date yet for our next opportunity to serve at the "soup kitchen". We will update the site as soon as we have another time when we can serve those in need. Please sign up and receive the blessing that only a servant's heart can receive. The blessing is the gift of pouring out yourself for those that cannot repay.
